Cape Town: Catamaran Champagne Sunset Cruise
About this experience

The standard route will cruise slowly along the Atlantic seaboard towards Clifton beach and then return back to the V&A Waterfront. Adult ticket holders will be served complimentary sparkling wine. The bar will be open selling alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages for the duration of the cruise. We offer a selection of local beers/drinks and soft drinks at reasonable charges. Remember to bring something warm for Cape Town is known to get windy and cold when the sun sets. In the event of high wind or rough seas, the skipper may alter the course of the vessel for the safety of the clients and staff aboard the vessel, adjusting the course to calm waters where you can comfortably enjoy the sunset. Should we receive a request to make the cruise a private charter or experience over bookings due to unforeseen circumstances, we reserve the right to transfer passengers to our other new vessel Une Belle Vie

Reviews

★★★★★

"Very pleased with our sunset cruise on A Beautiful Life. Not too crowded and all well organised. My wife and I sat on the comfortable seats at the back while our teenage daughter enjoyed the netting at the bow. No faffing with individual glasses as they just handled whole bottles out to groups for them to sort…"

"Basic but nice! Really enjoyed the sunset and being on the water. Great boat guides, they always made sure everyone is safe. The only thing is the music was pop American, where it could have been Afro beats. It would have added to the experience. I had a great time!"

"The boat was nice and modern with a friendly crew. There was enough space for all passengers and the bubbly allowance was generous for all passengers!"

Frequently asked

Questions guests ask before booking this tour

GetYourGuide lists the exact inclusions on the booking page — typically snorkel gear and life vests, drinks (often open bar), light food or lunch on the longer trips, and crew. Hotel pickup is sometimes included depending on the operator. Check the operator's inclusion list before booking; this comparison page surfaces the headline product, not every detail.

This tour starts at From $38 per person on GetYourGuide on our last refresh. Prices vary by date, season, and group size, and private-charter options are priced by the boat rather than per head. Click the Book button to see live pricing for your dates.

Most tours on GetYourGuide offer free cancellation up to 24 hours before departure. Look for the cancellation policy on the GetYourGuide tour page before booking — it's flagged prominently on the offer card.

Sunset slots are the highest-demand window for South Africa — the boat times its course to put the golden hour off the bow. Book at least a week ahead for weekends and high season. Adult-only minimum age varies by operator; check the booking page.

Typically local rum, beer, soft drinks, and water — unlimited during the cruise. Premium spirits are usually a paid extra. Pace yourself: wind and sun hide intoxication and the deck moves.

April – May and September – November (sweet spots). Shoulder months (june, july, august (still good, slightly windier)) are the best-value window — smaller crowds, lower prices, mostly the same conditions. Avoid january – march (cyclone window).

10 % cash; some private charters include service. Cash to the captain at the end of the trip — they share with the deckhands. Service is sometimes included on private charters; check the booking confirmation.

Reef-safe sunscreen required in Mauritius lagoon and Seychelles marine parks. Pick up a mineral (zinc-oxide) sunscreen before you board; on-board sales are usually marked up.
